To celebrate the centenary year of Dylan Thomas’ birth, a very special ‘Taste of Dylan Thomas‘ event will launch a series of recipe cards that have been produced for the tourism and hospitality sector across Mid and South West Wales.
The event will take place at The 25 Mile in Cardigan on Wednesday the 16th of July and will include an insight into Dylan Thomas, places he visited and the food he enjoyed, tying in with the recipes that have been developed by well know chef, Scott Davies of Cnwd and The 25 Mile.
There will be an opportunity to taste a selection of the 15 local produce dishes featured on the recipe cards, which are linked to locations associated with Dylan Thomas.
You will also have a unique opportunity to visit the Dylan Thomas pop-up Writing Shed which will be located in Cardigan especially for the event. The pop-up writing shed is a replica of Dylan Thomas’ iconic writing shed in Laugharne and has been travelling all over the country this year.
Inside the Shed, in honour of Dylan Thomas’ love of words, visitors are busy compiling a dictionary of fresh new words. Be playful, be rhythmic, be onomatopoeic, be brave! This will be a chance for you to invent your perfect word, and see it published in a Dictionary for Dylan.
