EVENT: Wales Festival of Architecture 2014

Between the 15th and 17th of May, Aberystwyth Arts Centre is going to play host to the Wales Festival of Architecture 2014.
In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the country’s greatest poet, Dylan Thomas, this year’s Festival of Architecture will seek to explore the process of creativity, looking at just what you need to create the perfect ‘creative space’, be it an artist’s studio, a rehearsal space or even a potting shed!
Also, this year will offer the first ever opportunity to enter into a competition:  all you have to do is create your very own version of Thomas’ famous writing shed! There will also be the chance to enjoy a performance of “Under Plywood” – an affectionate but irreverent review of the regeneration of our “ugly lovely towns” and an evening of celebration to recognise the best new building design in Wales.
