This week we’re catching up with Plas Nanteos Hotel near Aberystwyth to discover more about what goes on there, and why their guests love this luxury hotel so much…
What does your business offer visitors in the area?
Nanteos is a great place to stay and enjoy peace and quiet whilst dining on amazing food. It’s very much a Country House Hotel feel.
What are the most popular things to do there?
All of our meals are very popular with guests, especially our Afternoon Teas.
Our guests also enjoy our beautiful walks near and around the Mansion. The pet cemetery and our gorgeous lake are just a few points of interest.
Can you give us a quick summary of what Nanteos is all about?
Perfectly blending the old and new laid out across this historic Georgian Mansion, its adjoining former Bakery and Palladian Carriage house, individually designed luxury en-suite bedrooms, and a magnificent four bedroomed Mews House.
Dining at Nanteos is refined yet relaxed affair, whether it be a morning coffee with toasted Teacakes, a Light Lunch, a sumptuous Afternoon Tea or an A la Carte Dinner.
The Nightingale Restaurant, a grand Georgian dining room, serves light Lunch and Dinner to both residents and non-residents alike. Professional yet warm and welcoming staff serves a menu prepared by Chef Patron, Nigel Jones, and his team. Using the natural larder surrounding Nanteos and the local area, the cuisine is beautifully presented with something to suit all palettes.
