Five Family Friendly Places to Eat in Ceredigion

Family and food tend to come hand-in-hand when it comes to taking the family on a day out in Ceredigion.

Parents and children are spoilt for choice when it comes to top quality family-friendly places to stay.  So here’s five of our favourite family-friendly places to stop for a bite and a drink.

 

1. Crown Inn & Restaurant, Llwyndafydd
Some might say it’s one of the most family friendly places in Ceredigion! Surrounded by beautiful countryside and not far from Cwm Tydu Beach, it’s a great stopping point for a country walk. There’s a large play area outside with climbing frames, swings and slides.  The food on offer consists of hearty homemade dishes.

2. The Hive, Aberaeron
There’s a hive of treats for all the family; burgers, chips and some scrumptious ice cream. In fact some of the best ice-cream in town, which the kids will love. There’s a wonderful atmosphere and plenty to do.

3 .Gwesty Hotel and Restaurant, Aberystwyth
The Gwesty’s menu offers a real Welsh cultural treat for all the family.  If you want to experience quality Welsh food then be sure to visit here. From Welsh rarebit to Welsh cheese and ice cream, visitors will struggle to avoid not eating a real Welsh taste.  It’s a wonderful introduction to the area if you want to taste the quality of Ceredigion!

4. The Black Lion, New Quay
The Black Lion offers a wonderful blend of a great setting with a nice open atmosphere along with good value food.  The menu is sourced from local food producers and there’s an excellent children’s menu on offer as well.

5. Bosun’s Locker, New Quay
Freshly baked bread, cakes and a wonderful menu of home cooked meals  that children will love.  Walk into Bosuns Locker and visitors are greeted to a lovely fresh bread scent. It’s the perfect treat for all the family.
